power window question

Hey guys, on my '97 today, all of a sudden my window just stopped rolling up about halfway up. I waited a few seconds and tried again, and moved a few inches. Wiated and tried, same results till it got all the way up. (left a little gash in my new tint too ) It seems to work perfectly now though, not slow or jumpy or anything. Is this a fluke, or a sign of my motor going out?

Re: power window question

inspect the tract first, if the track is intact and greased properly then its the motor.

Re: power window question

i would say inspect it first, since it left a gash in the tint. the motor going out wouldnt do that. if not, just change the motor, its real easy.

Re: power window question

this happened to mine, where it would take a while to roll up then wait then roll, after a while it just stopped working. I thought it was the motor so bought a new one, then after pulling the old one I cleaned up all the wiring and hooked back the old motor for the hell of it, and it worked fine. So i took back the old motor and never had a problem again. Go figure.
