Ok, so my battery is 4 years old and before the winter comes and i take a chance, i am going to replace it. Now I've never replaced the battery in the camaro before and i was wondering if it will affect anything.

For instance when you change the battery im my mom's volvo, you have to enter a code on the radio to get it to work again. Now i doubt there is anything like that on the Z, but im just checkin!!

Nothing happens, it just resets the computer and radio stations....

 

The Monsoon has "THEFTLOCK" - see owners manual on how to tell if it's activated or not before replacing the battery.

 

Yeah, as stated above, consult your owners manual depending on if your radio is Theftlock equipped. It will take you through the steps of getting your password. It is important to get the password before disconnecting the battery. If not, you will most likely lock out your head unit and the process to unlock it is a bit more complicated.

 

Just get a battery tender. BTW, my factory battery lasted me until 2002.
