removing wiper arms?

there should be enough room to pry "lightly" between the arm and the stud it sits on.... should have clarified that more. Dont get too frustrated and crack your window.
also, the easier you work with it the easier it will come off, it is spring loaded so pulling or prying hard will just bind it up on the stud.

A special wiper arm pulling tool is sold in the HELP section at Advance. I think it was less than $10. I bought one, put it to work and promptly broke the **** off. Adjustable or clamping pliers will work in place of the ****. Pulling my wiper arm to replace a broken regulator (some call it a transmission) ranks among the hardest things I have had to do with my car. Corroded fine splines and the very slight taper almost make it a press.

i'll try to pry it then. i have a spare arm off the car so maybe i can get a feel for it so i don't break anything.
btw...i took the spring off and it isn't possible to get back on without taking the whole thing off. i was playing with the spring to try and get more tension on the windshield, but it turns out it's not the spring at all, but the hinge on the arm it tight for some reason. swapping out these arms should work. thanks!

if you are trying to pry it off be very carfull:
#1 keep the pry bar on metal ( i.e. edge of your hood if possible)
#2 either wiggle it left to right and/or spray with wd
Note if you force it off or pry on the actual glass you will crack your winsheild, have heard of a few people doing this... to avoid doing this try a puller instead of a prying but again make sure your point of force is on metal not glass
good luck

Injuneer is the MAN. I dont know what I was thinkin with the WD on that post... I keep a can of pb around... Definately a better option... To the OP if your replacing the whole thing anyway, get a large set of vice grips on that thing and wiggle the s*it out of it.
