Replacing 2001 Z28 Front Turn Signal Bulb?
I just got a very nice 2001 Camaro Z28. I like it a lot. The only little problem is a burned out front turn signal bulb.
How do I replace it?! It seems I need to be triple jointed? I can barely see the socket thing, but it isn't obvious how it is supposed to come out?
Hopefully I don't need to remove the headlights? Or should I just take it to my mechanic or a dealer?

Climb under there and grab the base of where the wires run into, it should be plastic. Turn counter clockwise and it will pull out after that, then just pull out bulb, replace and reinsert back into the signal cover.

Thanks everyone, I will try again this afternoon.
I can't access the bulb from below, the ground effects are too close to the ground. And the ramps I have for my pickup are too steep. But I could go to my mechanic and put it up the lift.
However, it does seem barely accessable from the top; if you remove the one simple bracket between the engine area and the headlight assembly.
But the "socket" holding the bulb doesn't want to turn; is there any kind of little clip or something locking it is place? I can't really see the socket. Is there an identical socket elsewhere on the car that I could look at?

yes you need to push the clip in and turn. It's kind of a pain, but it can be done from the top. If you don't have skinny arms, I'd remove the splash pannel, other wise you will cus up a storm trying to get it.
believe me, I know, my car got backed in to last year, and it doesn't seal right. So I get all kinds of moisture/water in there. It burns out about every other month. I'm just too lazy to figure out where the water is coming in.

Got it! I parked it in the bright sun, and I could barely see the socket, and the important little clip by looking through the gap between the headlights. I did need to remove the bracket between the engine area and the headlights to be able to reach in; and even then it was still real hard.
What is the splash panel everyone is mentioning? There was nothing else obvious that could have been removed; except maybe the headlights or the whole front grill/cover/whatever it is called. And none of those looked easy.
