on my 94 will I have to add extra wire. I think I have to go to the ignition slot in the fuse box. And the 12th hole in the aldl is that correct.. I have 22-18 wire little slot things that will fit in fuse box but not in the computer slot. I was told to file down the one for the pc slot a little smaller and it will work.
The plastic piece under the steering wheel. If I take that off is there a good ground under there.. thanks for any help.. Also I believe I am going to have slit that gray plastic around the wires to seperate all 3 wires..

 

Read the install part of my online ScanMaster writeup. Connect the white signal wire to the bottom right pin on the ALDL (tan wire), the red wire to any +12V source and the black wire to any good chassis ground. Finished.

I spliced the white wire into the tan wire on the back of the ALDL, rather than use a pin. And then added a micro switch, mounted above the ALDL connector so the ScanMaster could be disconnected when any other device had to be connected to the ALDL.
