should i sell my car? opinions needed!

well guys i just had an offer for someone to buy the car in my sig for 10 grand. the car is payed for, the motor has around 5k miles on it, the clutch and tranny have like 2500 or so on them. the body is in nice shape new tires on all fours.

The bad...

pan gasket is leaking and the oil pressure sensor doesn't work
and the rear is outta it...kinda the ring gear fell off the pinion and tore the housing all up and metal got everywhere. so total fixed might cost 700 bucks

the only reason i'm considering selling it is because i've had nothin but trouble w/ this car. and i'm goin to pick up a 96z this sunday from this site. should i just cut my losses and take the money and run? let me know what you guys think...i'm 22 yrs old don't really need the money, just don't know how much more of a headache i need right now.

all opinions are welcome.

Thank you

Andrew

I guess it comes down to is if you want a fun daily driver or the weekend "toy" car. Also, granted your car has problems now, but you can buy another car and still have more headaches.

i think i should just keep it, it doesn't cost me anything to keep. insurance is dirt cheap, and what's another 700 bucks when i've already dropped that much into it. lol the 396 would just be my weekend toy when i go home and the 96 would just be my daily summer toy and not too many kids can say they have two camaros...well except on this site lol...but there is just so much 10 grand could do. but it's silly considering the amount of money i have in it right now. so i might as well keep it

Advice from an old guy. Take a few minutes and really think about what you wanted when you first started out, and what you want now.
Did you want a weekend toy or did it just end up that way? Do you drag race on the weekends? Do you road race? Did you just want something to show off? Do you just enjoy working on them? Do you just want a fun RELIABLE daily driver.
The answer doesn't really matter, what matters is does this car fulfill that need??? If it does, keep it, if it doesn't sell.
