So HOT!!

Today I replaced the rear rotors and brake pads The pads are semi metallic new rotors all from Autozone. I drove it and stopped a few times slowly not too hard to break them in. I noticed how hot the rear brakes where compared to the fronts the were way freakin HOt!!! Is this normal? i thought i broke them in enough. What is the proper break in procedure if this isnt it? All info appreciated!!! thanks.

Re: So HOT!!

You WANT to break them in fairly hard initially. Go from 60-0 several times with medium-hard pressure then let up on it and let it cool off. Cycling this through a few times will seat the pads into the rotors nicely.
