Steering System Clicking

Steering System Clicking
I recently broke a power steering line due to a loss of temper during the removal of my air pump system. I replaced the line and got everything put back on. I filled the system back up and used Shoebox's bleeding procedure. Since I didn't have anyone with me I just turned the passenger side wheel manually so that I could look at the fluid while I was doing so. I had the front wheels off the ground per his instructions. I noticed that something was making a clicking/tapping noise when I would turn the wheel either direction. It would do it about 4 or 5 times per complete turn of the wheel. Is this normal or does something need to be fixed? Thanks,

Re: Steering System Clicking
i dunno what all you bumped or what strange positions ya hadta get into when wrenchin but when i blew my slave cyl on the way to bowling green last year amongst all the reaching and shoving i managed to bump a brake line into the steering shaft. a band that holds the boot onto the shaft would come around and catch the windings on the brake linme and cause a click. it would come all the way thru to the steering wheel and drive me nuts.
give that a lookeysee.
