Steering Wheel problem!
Do you know how you adjust the steering wheel. Well where the wheel tilts on the column is were the problem is. When it is set in place where I want it if I pull down and to the right the wheel feels like it comes out of being locked in. Only when I pull down does it do this, and the wheel can be set to it's lowest setting or highest. If anyone has a freaken clue what I'm talkin about please help!!!

Re: Steering Wheel problem!
I just got done fixing mine a couple months ago.
You'll need to pull the column from the car and comepletely tear it down.
There are 2 pivot pins, a huge spring and 4 screws that hold together the tilt mechanism deep within the column. Mine had a loose pivot pin causing it to have play in it. The pin was not pressed in fully like it was supposed to be.
My case was odd, usually it isnt the pins that loosen up. Usually the 4 bolts that hold the tilt frame to the lower column loosen up. Getting to them requires some specialty tools and lots of patience.
You will need:
steering wheel puller
lock plate compresser
Snap ring plyers
pivot pin removal tool.
I used a vice grips, big flat screwdriver and a properly threaded screw to remove the pivot pins, instead of the tool from GM. I was lucky, but other paople have had the screw shear off in the pivot pin. Be prepared to deal with a 3D jigsaw puzzle... it is not easy.
Here is a LINK with pictures and directions.
Good luck.
