Stock battery bolt size

I lost a battery bolt awhile back and have one in there but I dont think it is making good contact. I have the red top optima battery, does anyone know where I can get the stock size bolts? Part numbers and/or links would be VERY helpfull, thank you.

Aren't the pos and neg the same size. If so, just measure the size of the one that is good.

You could always call a battery place and see if they have any cores around and ask for a bolt.JMHO

Battery cable bolts? You can get replacement bolts at most any auto supply store. Bolt size is 3/8-16.

Definitely 3/8. You might be getting confused because the head is so small. They make the bolts that way, so you don't over-torque them. The battery side is lead and will strip out if over-tightened. The "Boys" should have them.

Thanks all, the "boys" did not have them. BUT local GM dealer did, at a rate of $3.11 each, communists!
