T56 Question

T56 Question

anyone else have a "Rattle" when the car is in neutral and the clutch is out?? not there when in gear I always assumed it was the clutch, but after replacing it, , still there. car drives fine but it sounds like stones rattling in the trans when in neutral and the clutch is out??

Yup, I don't know if I'd call it a rattle. Sounds like the gears in the trans spinning. I've heard simmular noises in other transmissions.

yep i have that exact rattle/grinding sound (it does sound like stones in there) I had the clutch changed also and its still there. it is amplifed since i put in a short stick that doesnt have the rubber damper at the attachment point. Anyone know what this is. I know this is something that has started within the last year or so and its really anoying. Any help would be great!

Do you mean - coming throught the gearstick?
I've noticed a bit of a noise there since I put in the Ripper..........nothing to sneeze at though......

Supposedly even GM acknowledges the noise exists but never fixed due to the fact that the noise never meant anything was wrong.

its the throwout or pilot bearing i thought. Mine does it.
