Tire pressure

What pressure are your tires at for everyday driving. Its my daily driver but i race just about everyday and was wondering if i should drop the psi since they are at 44psi.

Re: Tire pressure

Yes drop that pressure. You have it set to the max on the tires. What size tires are they? I have 275/40/17 set at 35 psi for daily driving (recommended on door sticker) Go by the setting on the door.

ditto, also give room for when the tire heats up the pressure will raise about 2 psi. 44 psi is just to high.

Re: Tire pressure

Dumb question for me, but besides jabbing the living h3ll out of your tire with a knife or pinning it to death with nails, how do you take preasure out of your tire?

Re: Tire pressure

36 PSI all around for me for driving on the street. When I go to the track, I bump the fronts up to 40 and drop the rears to 24.

Re: Tire pressure

I run 32-33 psi cold on the fronts (555 Extremes, 275/40) and 15-18 psi cold on the rears (555 DRs 275/40). The fronts wear perfectly, the rears ALWAYS wear down the center first...
