Too much HP
I really find my 95 Z28 annoying to drive sometimes. It seems everything is
fine cruising down road at 25 then I get hit by the need and stomp it.
Whoosh LEFT-RIGHT LEFT-RIGHT the rearend can't decide which way to go.
It really is a pain sometimes I miss my underpowered 05' Impala sniff sniff.
Another annoyance is it would seem everyone and their grandma loves a red
Camaro even the State Police who stalk me just to get a closer look at the
black Torq-Thrusts, Really! The best is at every stoplight at a double lane it
seems my car is a catalyst for people to start revving their engines ?
Does anyone else have these kinds of problems?

Re: Too much HP
Lol I have not seen one of those yet, funny though. Yeah I used to have a 99'
SHO and that was the exact opposite of driving my 95' nobody thought
anything of it till the v8 howled . I once had a mechanic argue vehemently that
my SHO had a v6 till I opened the hood and showed the motor to him. I have
not raced anyone and as a close relation is a local elected official I keep a low
profile these days on that stuff. I 'll have to go to the track after I get a new
rear-end lol.(167k on the 7.62)

Re: Too much HP
Sort of:
Engine[edit]
Main article: Ford SHO V8 engine
A 235 hp (175 kW) aluminum 3.4 L V8 engine with heads from Yamaha and block from Cosworth was specified for the SHO model, but it was given the same four speed transmission as the LX: the manual gearbox option was no longer offered on the SHO.[10] Separation of the camshaft from its sprocket has been implicated in a growing number of engine failures, at around 50,000 miles (80,000 km).[11] This problem can be rectified by having the camshafts welded.[11] The number of engines with failure has been documented at about 1,200 out of about 20,000 engines.[12] Other undocumented cases very likely exist.

Re: Too much HP
Yes those cams were a design flaw on the sprocket if you had them welded the motor failure rate drops to almost zero. It was a good motor in practice aside from the cam issue. Very poor product support on Ford's part as they refused to recall them for it. I had a custom true dual exhaust made for it by local shop the sound was very close to a Ferrari v8 like the old 308s.
