Pontiac grand am with the side ways V6 has all that beat it takes 5min. to do the front 3 then you have to unbolt the motor then jack it up in the back to get to the back 3 that aut to make you feel a little better.:

I knew there was a reason I've had the same plugs/wire for 74,000 miles

at least it's not a 64 Ford Fairlane Thunderbolt, you have to pull the engine to change the plugs on those...........

427, and everything was modified from stock(steering, fenders, shock towers) to make it fit, since the engine bay is so tight, even the headers they came with wrapped around the steering linkage

there is only about 1" of clearance all the way around

Like when they stuffed the 429 in the Mustang! At least back then there usually wasn't any A/C in the way.

I'm not sure what 429cj/scj is like in a 71+ mustang but I know Boss 9's have to be terrible on the back plugs. My 428 cj stang is pretty brutal. Just to get the damn plug wires on some of the plugs i had to pull the motor mount bolts an jack up the motor.

advice..find a nice very skinny tall friend. Ihave no earthly idea how he does it; Angelo (buddy) weights about 135..can pull, gap and reinstall all four on passenger side in 15-25 min, I can match him when I do the drivers side. Little skinny bugga' doesn't remove a thing except the oil filler tube.
I hate him and love him...all at once

To me the LS1 plugs were a lot harder than the LT1. But the wires on the LT1 are a PITA if you actually route them correctly. Those guides by the alternator are retarded.
Thats pretty f-ed,i did a compresion check and plug change in about 2-2 1/2 hrs it was a pita though
