Took a ride in a 1400HP Vette yesterday!!!OMG
Took a ride in my engine builders '65 Vette yesterday. It runs lower 8's and is street legal in Ohio.
I have never been in anything close to that fast and all I can say is that it was part terrifying and part an adrenaline rush!
The car is pulling so hard it feels like you can't even see!! Like your eyes are scrambling in your head!!!
It's an experience to be had for sure.
We did it on a 4 line street in North Olmsted, if any of you guys are familiar with Ohio. No traffic. Of course he could not get totally on it due to raod surface and the tires not being heated.
When we got back he told me he never had it in low gear and our speed was equivalent to about a 9 second pass. It's a powerglide trans.
I could not believe that the thing could go any faster!!!
The one thing I could say is I'm sure glad the motor I'm getting will about half the horsepower of his!! I'm not sure me and that much power is a good thing!!

He just won the CarCraft dyno contest at the Autorama. They used a Mustanng Dyno and the guys running it had overtightened the cars down so there were a few that could not get up to their normal levels but he still made 788 to the wheels. Although he is usually almost 300hp higher on other dynos. Real hp is problably somewhere in between. All I know is that the thing runs low 8's and even high 7's with true slicks, not cheaters.
You can see the car at carcraft.com on the main page.
And if you're in Ohio the guy can build you a kick *** motor.
