transmission fluid and filter change

i am wondering if this will fit my 1994 camaro 6 speed and if there is a how to somewhere? ACDelco Transmission Fluid Filter TF289: Advance Auto Parts i know i need this and dexron 3 how many should i buy?

I don't think the 6 speed uses a filter.

Correct. That filter is for an auto trans.

The Owner's Manual shows the capacity at 8 pints.

INCORRECT

Per the factory service manual, the Tremec T56 service manual, and the paper tag on the outside of my purchased new 94 T56, the T56 should be filled with GM Dexron II ATF. Later years required Dexron III, and that was confirmed by the paper tag on a T56 I bought from the original owner of a 1997. Using other fluids can lead to damage of the paper blocker rings.
