Upgrades on 1997 Camaro Z28- Need suggestions
Here's what I have done so far:
1997 Camaro Z28 with 12bolt Moser Rear End, 4.10 Gears, Spec Stage 4 clutch, Spohn torque arm with front safety loop, aftermarket rear control arms, strut tower bar, subframes, drilled/slotted rotors, 18" rims, Flowmaster Exhaust, Long Tube Headers, 52mm throttle body, Procharger supercharger about 8lbs of boost, methanol injection
Here's what I'm definitly doing next, is aftermarket driveshaft with stronger u-joints.
I definilty interested in getting tuned, but not quite yet I don't think. Just because I would like to do a few more mods 1st before I get it tuned. I would like to take it back to the track (1/4mile) but I want it streatable as well.
So what do you think? i'm looking at a Cam, new heads, valve springs, roller rockers, bigger fuel injectors.
Not sure which direction I should take it. I don't want to spend a whole lot this year, maybe under $5000 including labor.
Possibly bigger cam this year, then rest next year? or should I make sure I have it all done at once and save some more? If I go for a bigger cam, any suggestions on it? What about getting more boost? When do I do that, after more engine mods?, then a bigger pulley for supercharger?
thanks!

have you rebuilt your engine for ur supercharger yet? you might want to consider doing that and them maybe a cam/ valvetrain to match what you want ur boost at
and def a tune my car ran HORRRRRRRIBLE without being tuned for my heads and cam

If I understand you correctly, you are running 8# of boost now, with no tune. How are you adding the extra fuel for boost - FMU?
I wouldn't recommend going over 8# on the stock bottom end. With an intercooler you might be able to run more, but its a crap shoot.
I'd focus on getting what you have running at its full potential, with reduced risked for blowing the whole thing up.

I'm running a FMU on my supercharger which is handling the extra fuel needed. But eventually down the road I would like to get rid of the FMU and go with bigger injectors and tuned for it.
And yes I got my procharger with an intercooler.
I also have the methanol injection which helps prevent detonation and cool engine down more is what I've heard.
tires are Sunny tires for now because they came with my 18's that I bought last year. I'm going to upgrade tires in spring, probably goin with my previous set up which was Yokohamas in the front, and Nitto Drag Radials in the back.
So my thought on the tuning is since I want to to another mod this spring like a cam swap, and a few other things, should I get the tune right away, or wait. Wouldn't I need it tuned after the cam too?

I have stock shocks on the car now. What do you suggest?
