what is the 2nd gear start button on the console? I'm looking at a 95 firebird V6 auto and it has one. I was just wondering what it is and what it does. Also what gears came stock in this and did any come with posi's? I want to buy this cause its cheap and I'll drop a LT1 in later. Thanks in advance.

hmm, i had a 96 TA A4 and i didnt have anything like that. if you want a LT1 later, why not get one now ?

 

get an lt1 now imo
the 2nd gear start is for snow and controls the torque by starting in 2nd gear, therefore making it easier to accelerate without losing the rear

it can have either gu4 or gu5 gears (2.73 or 3.23 respectively)
also, while checking for one of those rpo codes, check to see if y87 is optioned
this was the option (for camaro atleast) that had a special package that had posi and a couple of other goodies
the posi could also be ordered separate which its rpo is g80

 

dont got the money right now and this has a nice body and everything else, and its cheap

that is cheap, no doubt about that. but if you go here, so is this, and you could maybe go lower cause of miles and such, and its a formy. i have a 99, so im a lil biased, but its def worth it if you can spare the extra funds.
