What could I have possibly damaged????

Ok... here is the deal... I went drag racing on saturday, and ran my stock 140,000 mile LT1 to red line on everyshift.... so problems my first pass, but my second pass was a diff issue. 1st gear wnt great, grabbed second with no problem, ran it to red, then when grabbing for third, I found first again... the car bucked violently, and I stomped the clutch back in.... i actually shook one of my filter elements loose from my CAI on the track. Car drove fine, and I babied it home.... I have a dual centerforce clutch in it and a 410 posi 10bolt with TA girdle... Car seemed fine all the way home, All 6 gears went in and out pefectly, and the clutch feels ok..... Wondering if anyone had any insight on what problems I may be looking at down the road from that incident, any help or past similar experiences would be greatly appreciated.... THANKYOU....

Umm..how long was it in first on that missed-third shift? Did it fully engage? Bent rods are one possibility. Any issues as of yet? If not, you'll more than likely be ok. Just don't do it again..lol

Well, she runs fine, no leaks, antifreeze or oil... no knocking, or valve train noise at all. It was in just enough for a slight engine brake, then I clutched again..... If its still running and sounding ok, am I safe, or am i looking for trouble down the road??? How bout the clutch or trans... any possibilities for damage there???

If you don't feel anything by now, it is probably ok. No sense in worrying about what might happen. Wait until it does. If I were going to worry about something, it would be my shifting skills.

I've done that a couple times. No damage found. This happened 2 years ago. Last winter I did the clutch line mod and it seemed to help shifting into 3rd.

get a better shifter...makes all the difference in the world

most common problem after that is bent pushrods...but if it runs fine...i wouldn't worry about it
