Whats the difference between a 95lt1 and a 97lt1 engine?

Yeah I wouldn't want a Caprice/SS/Roadmaster engine on my camaro. I bought this thinking it was from a 97 lt1 camaro/trans am . Rebuilt not to long ago.

I got home with it checked it out. And found out that it didn't come from a 97 camaro or tans am. Called up the guy and he said that thats the way it came when he got it.

So i decided to open it up and check if it was actually rebuilt. I did and everything looks fine. Almost like new.

I don't want something with less HP than what i had on it originally . But everyone says the Cam & heads are the only difference than that's no problem. Since I have my old lt1 engine . The block is the only thing that messed up on my old engine.

if you are going to swap the heads, put a cam in there too

Yeah I'm putting in a cc503 cam with all the supporting upgrades. Its just going to have to take a little more time. Maybe 2 months.
