why do ls1 get better gas mileage than comperable lt1s?

Ls1's also have faster processors in the PCM I'm sure that helps slightly as well ,by reacting to events and changes sooner.

I don't know why I am not getting good mileage. My mods are in the sig. Around town I only get 12-14 mpg???

I have an autometer phantom speedo in my iroc and it doesn't have a trip. so I have never kept real accurate measure of my mileage. I have gotten a ball park idea, but I never wrote it down.

Go easier with your right foot, everytime you push down ahrd the loud pedal there goes some mileage

I get an honest 30 mpg on the highway with my Z28, whenever I've checked I've busted the 31 mpg ceiling

i get not quite 19 around town. my only mods are a k&n filter and flowmaster muffler. i dont know what my highway is because i never drive highway.

Even Threxx couldn't get 40 mpg out of an LS1.
