will 410s last in my 10 bolt? or would 373's be the best way to go?

4.10's are for GM rear ends. I have a 9" moser in my car right now with 4.11's, which are a Ford gearset.

For driving around town, they will feel faster because the TQ is multiplied in each gear more, but you run out of gear much sooner in speed. So you have more TQ for less mph in each gear.

If I change gears, I'm only going with a 3.73, but never to the 4.10. I have a hard enough time with traction with the stock 3.42's, and that's with 275/40-17's.

Keep preaching the ignorance. Unless your running 120+mph traps, and assuming you have tires, 4.10s will be the faster gear in the 1/4 mile in an A4 or M6, because you'll stay in your powerband longer, cross the traps closer to if not in the top of the powerband, and have more mechanical advantage. Period.

Prove me wrong.

Did I say he would be slower in the 1/4 mile? No.

So yes, I'll keep preaching, Thank you very much. Maybe you should read a little more carefully before getting on my case.

The more you mod for top end power, and raise the redline, the more gears become important. 4.10's and 3.73's can be a big advantage then. Remember, this guy is close to stock with a stock redline.
