I either used Rain-X or Bosch, I'm thinking I used Rain-X though.

I've still got my original metal blade frames, and keep refilling them with Anco 24N inserts.... but then the car hasn't been in the rain in at least 5 years.

I use the wiper blades that fit the 88-95 5 series Bmw as they are the same size.I feel your frustration, the shape of the windscreen makes it hard work for the blades to contact all over the windscreen.
I find that if I lift the wiper arms away from the screen when I wash my car, when I put them back down they never work properly and it takes a few days for them to settle back in.

As soon as I saw the word windscreen, I looked to the left. Seeing your from the U/K it makes perfect sense. And I would like to thank the above for their recommendations on re-fills. My car is a 94, as you can see in my sig, and I still have the oringinal wipers on it.

I'm certainly not one to argue with sucess, but keep in mind that those wiper frames have springs in them that will wear out over time, reducing the amount of pressure on the windsheild.

Of course, if just popping refills in works for you, by all means, keep doing it

The factory wipers have been working perfect for me since day one . When I did need replacements (after driving 2 winters with the car ) I got replacements directly from GM ... they still work great .

I've experimented with different brands of wipers in the past (on past vehicles) and after getting my Camaro, I've NEVER had a problem with crappy wipers . Factory blades it is!!

I just wanted to bump this thread. I followed shoebox's advice a few months ago, and I agree with this recommendation. These blades fit correctly and work *very* well. Quite a bargain. Thanks, shoebox.

I even got a set from the dealer :mainly cause I had a discount, and can't go wrong with dealer right?: And they still wouldnt clear the retarded reverse arm on LT1's. So I cut a notch in the arm with a dremel. So now the arm rests inside it. It's still just as tough and works great
