maybe i'll throw my problem in here. i replaced my wiper blades and the passenger one works great, but mine of course does not clear a triangular section right in front of my face. i'm not sure if i got bad blades or someone mentioned the springs wearing out and not allowing the blade to seat properly on the windshield.

the drivers side arm come to think of it was VERY hard to pull away from the windshield when i replaced it. could i need to replace the spring maybe? i've been dealing with it for two months haha.

How hard would it be to just swap 98+ style ones that don't have the retarded reverse hook on em?

I just went through this BS this weekend. I tried the Rain-X and once I finally got them on, they left a dead spot in the center of the windshield.

So I ended up sticking with the original Delco blade frames and found "narrow" type refills at Napa.

Part #: 60-2401 @ $4.79each

You need to go to the counter (at least here in Charlotte) to get them. My store doesn't have blade refills on display... only the replacement blades; which I think is kind of ridiculous. Nonetheless, they fit and work great.

I used Delco, now I have been using Anco. Straight from Auto Zone. Inexpensive and seem to last a long time. But then again my window doesn't even get touched by water it seems. It just runs straight off. I hardly even have to use my wipers. Even if it is raining.

They wouldn't work on an LT1 with the reverse wiper hook. There are other flex ones and the arm would wanna go under them to hook on. Stupid LT1 arms lol

I just use the GM wiper insert replacements. 93-97 are all the same part #22121392 they sell them individual. I get them at wholesale through my work, If you have to pay list they are $13.21 each.

While back on one of my cars I had an aftermarket insert slip out of the wiper blade and scratch my windshield. I would rather spend the money on a GM replacement insert than have scratched windshield again.

The GM replacements fit and wont fall out of the blade.

I am kind of annoyed. I used to work at a chev dealer and I got discounts so I figured it would be great to get some blades from there. Yeah they were dirt cheap, but didn't fit right They just grabbed some the right length and called it good. I also grabbed a set of Delco blades that were worn out but they got lost when I moved

Another vote for the Trico 24-9R. Only issue was that Kragen didn't have them in the store....it's a "warehouse" item, so it took a few days for me to pick them up. I guess because not too many cars use the wiper assy as our Camaros.

I replaced mine with anco 22-24. They work great. They're about $13 each. I don't know how that compares to the others.

I tried some from Napa, but there were spots on the glass that would not wipe clean because the straight blades were not conforming to the curved windshield so I took them back to Napa for a refund.

Then I installed some curved Rain-x ones, and found a minor problem also in a section of the glass. The reason was that during the sweeping arc, the metal arm was pressing against the molded rubber shape on the upper part of the blades. What I did is I cut a relief pocket near in the blade near the arm so they would not touch, and that solved the problem.
Now my problem is that after 6 months they still clean perfectly but faded from the sun to a grey color... They look kinda big too, I'll look for something thinner next time.

Ya I found that getting a slightly smaller blade helps as well. I'm using ones which are an inch or so shorter and they get more pressure that way.
