XM Roadie II receiver - anyone install one of these?

I have this XM Roadie II receiver that I'm going to install in the Z28. Before I do, I was wondering how any of you routed the antenna wire?

Thanks!

Pictures of my installation are here.

I did have a Roady 1 at that time, but now I have Roady 2 in the same spot.

I installed the antenna on top of the dash and routed the wire along the front edge of the windshield to the passenger side and from there behind the glovebox to the center console.

Hope this helps.

That helps a lot, thanks! So, you don't have to mount the antenna outside? I would much rather get away with mounting it on the dash. Any negative effects from that?

No, it doesn't have to be outside. I just put double-sided tape on it and put it on top of the dash, as far to the front edge as possible wihout having anything (moldings, wipers etc.) block the view to the sky.

So far I have not have had any problems with reception.

I put mine just ahead of the big vent in the middle of the dash (closer to the glass), and ran the wire down the vent and pulled it down to the console.

I have Sirius right now, but the antenna and wiring are virtually identical. Reception is fine with our huge front window, at least for me.
