Yes, the oil pressure varies with RPM.
Cold idle - 25-40 PSI, depending on engine wear
Hot idle - 15-35 PSI, depending on engine wear.
At higher RPM, you want to see at least 10 PSI for each 1,000 RPM. Example at least 40 PSI at 4,000 RPM, 50 PSI at 5,000 RPM, 60 PSI at 6,000 RPM
Stock oil pump pressure relief spring limits pressure to 60 PSI.
You should be using 5W-30 or 10W-30 oil, depending on lowest ambient temperature car is exposed to.
