Re: Z28 weight

My 94 Z-28 lt1 went 3620 lb with me in it at the dragstrip scales this summer. There hasnt been anything done to lighten it at all. Still tuning on it and desperately needs headers and a converter. Best time so far, 1.98 60' 13.82@99.87 mph. Hope this helps. See ya.

My car weighed 3220 before I took out the stereo (stealthbox and amps) and before I removed the bumper supports.
So it should be close to 3100 without me in it.
It went 13.4 at 104 before the weight reduction and with 160k on the clock.

Re: Z28 weight

Im hoping to get my car down to a slim 2700 lbs without me in it and 2900 with me in it, or as light as possible literally. Do you think this is possible? I have allready ordered Strange 12 bolt rear end and all there brake stuff, i have the aluma light wheels on the way aswell. I have stripped 90% of the interior and am working on stripping the rest, i am even going to do a new lighter weight wiring harness. PLus ill know where everything goes that way aswell and all the wires will be new. Anyways, drop me a line let me know what u think. :Chris

You might try searching. I think this has been done many times before.

Thanks. The motor just won,t die. I have broken just about everything else but the engine lives on. I want to build a new motor but just can,t bring myself to do it till the stocker finally dies.
It doesn,t smoke, it don,t make no wierd noises.
Hell, its the most reliable car I have ever owned (engine wise) and I beat the crap out of it.
