I want Headers-back.

This is my first major modification, next month I'll be doing heads and cam.

Tell me some of my options, and where I can get them.

Thanks!

I'm an idiot.

I forgot to mention the fact I drive a 2002 Camaro SS, with a M6.

I'm a total newbie, and I apologize.

What is exactly M6? I know there are Camaro Z28's, SS, and regular, but what's an M6?

Remember with only a $1k your options are limited. Catbacks alone can cost $700. You choose a cheaper one then you can get the headers. Then work on the suspension.

or like i stated you can get 2 bullet mufflers for $70 headers for $390 coated and have $550 to get an X pipe and a dual system run...it works out to being cheaper than alot of single catback systems on the market

what state do u live in? it may dictate whether or not u need to retain the cats......

if u need emissions, then i suggest some mid lengths/shorties, y-pipe with high flow cats, cut out on the I-pipe and u can keep the stock SS catback, or go aftermarket with a Hooker catback or something.....

if u dont need emissions, some long tubes like Hooker or JetHot...
Y-pipe, 02 simulators for the rear o2 sensors... stock SS catback
or a Hooker catback.....

Get a nice cheap exhaust like true duals but is still one of the best sounding exhausts or do what Im gonna do and get a set of Flowtechs like in my sig for like 80 bucks. Very cheap but damn good soundidng. that way more money for the heads.

Pacesetter headers and Off road pipe and a cutout. Will cost you under $500. Installed figure $400 for headers and ORY and $50 to weld the cutout in and there ya go under $1000. If you can install the headers yourself then you have $500 to go get laid with or whatever else you like to do with your money.

Headers with a cutout or even an E-cutout you could even leave the stock exhaust for when the cutout is closed, but i suggest a decent catback.
