$1000 to spend on Exhaust... What to do?
#16
So whats better, true dual, or with an x-pipe to join the two, and then split back into two pipes?
Is there room down under there for two mufflers?
I'm in Virginia, I think we -need- cats and -need- mufflers, am I correct?

use an x-pipe, you'l get more hp, torque, and sound better.

MAC Mid-length headers (two sets on e-bay for $300 right now), into an x-pipe, into two chambered mufflers ($130 each from Summit) tucked into the tranny tunnel and then dump them before the axle or (if you go with 2.5" pipes) take them both over the axle and exit at the rear.
Do the header install yourself and then pay to have the exhaust made and you will still be under $1000.
