The new cobras have a 6-speed (not 5 speed), which may be a little more efficient.

The only one I've heard about was in the MMFF magazine. Dyno'd 375 rwhp and tq. When they removed the baffles on the intake, they gained another 12rwhp, which is a lot. The writers suggested that the intake and exhaust is SO restricted, that once the aftermarket comes up with substitutes, they'll be doing over 400 rwhp. Sounds like the chokes off LS1, only quite a bit stronger.

I have to second the facts that the price is high and the cars got a blower. I do give them credit for building a fast car but i think that stock for stock the camaro/firebird has more potential. other than NOS or some serious internal engine work? the most i could see anybody doing is freeing up the exhaust and intake (read filter or throttle body. I'm no mustang expert but since its DOHC (right ?) then it would be much harder/ more expensive to do things like cam swaps or head swaps. And how much more power could you get from a head cam swap if you did do one anyway. Isn't that part of the motor pretty well as good as its gonna get? I may be way off on that last statement but anyway. On the other hand I have seen N/A ls1's with heads cam etc that put down over 400 horses. Then you start putting on blowers and NOS and who knows were you are at. Or for that matter you slap on a blower with an 8lb pully and get more than thiers. A friend of mine is running an ATI pro-charge. He originally had the 4lb pully and put down somewhere around or over 38x at the rear wheels. Since then he put in the 8lb and hasn't dynoed it but you see my point. another camaro dynoed 43x with NOS alone (granted i think it was 150 shot and who knows how long the stock internal will take of that) I admire the fords and off the shelf its a great car but still not king of the hill in my book.
