well its time to do some mods to my ss. first my dad is giving me the 4.10 we were going to put in the 94. i already have CAGS! and a flowmaster muffler off of my 90 rs. i know that i need some kind of programmer but i dont want a hypercrap. I am looking at a better breathing setup, i was thinking fast toys ram air w/whisper lid and k&n filter/ a volant cold air/ a k&n fipk(what do i need for the k&n) any inputs would be helpful. dont worry about $$$ i got 2Gs to spend but i dont want to spend all

I just acquired my SS and am wasting no time. I am however a poor college student with almost zero extra money, but one thing I do is look in the forsale forum. I just bought and SLP lid, 2 K&N filters, and the smooth air bellow for $140 shipped. The guy has dyno proof that he picked up 16 horse at the rears. Since my car came from SLP with the dual-dual...I'm well on my way. However to answer your question...definatly get a lid of some sort.

If you're wanting to recalibrate the speedo for the 4.10 rear, but don't want the (ahem) "hypercrap" ... Tbyrne sells the SLP plug-in speedo corrector.

i do like it cause it only cost me 70 dollars from a friend, so 70 bucks for a 3 inch exhaust isnt bad but i still want a loudmouth, a friend of mine has a random tech cat on his 93 lt1 and he loves it.
