2000 z28

there is a 2000 z28 at a car lot by my house they want 7995,down from 9995.body kinda beaten up somewhat. it does have the ls1. I havent drove it.99,000 miles. what does everyone think, what should I look for at look at. It could have had the **** run out of it? stock wheels 4l60e tranny I guess.

7900 is about right for the mileage.. That's average mileage for that year..

My average mileage 2 years ago for mine was 75k miles. (Mine's no where near that close @ 43k)

Nothing much special to look for, it's a car like any other car. Listen when it's started up cold while watching the tail pipes, is it noisy or quiet, did it puff out a bunch of smoke. Check for leaks or signs of leaks recently fixed. Push down on each corner of the car and see how the suspension reacts, any clunks? Sit in the car with it running and check to see if everything works then turn everything off and take it for a test drive and listen/feel for grinding/vibration/howling.
This is all normal stuff you should do in checking out any used car purchase.
