Got a truck that I am almost done doing an LS1 swap into but I have a pigtail and sensor that goes to.....don't know. The sensor is on the pasanger side towards top of tranny by belhousing. It has one light green and one brown wire. It is part of the LS1 factory harness, not the trucks. I checked all the wiring diagrams I have been able to find and nothing matches. Any help identifying would be appreciated.

 

Could it be the speed sensor wires for the speedo??

 

Knock sensors? The pig tail for them comes out of the harness behind the passenger tappet cover then crosses the motor to hook up to the pig tail from under the intake at the rear of the DS tappet cover.
Just a guess.

 

that side of the tranny has the reverse lockout, Veh. speed sense, and backup lights. are you talking about one of those? maybe O2?

 

Not o2 sensor, these are coming from a sensor on the trans. I was thinking reverse lock out or something like that, just wanted confirmation. The VSS is at the rear of the trans and my diagrams match that one so I know I got it right.
