98-99 lid on an 02?

Will a 98-99 lid work for an 2002? I know the air tub is there but is there a delete option to get rid of that?

Actually, I thought the earlier f-bodies didn't have an A.I.R. tube going to the lid. In that case, you just get a little fitler/breather for your A.I.R. tube and clamp it/zip tie it down.

That's my point....there's no hole in a 98/99 lid.

Then what are you worried about??? Put a breather filter on the hose, or just remove the AIR

That is what is done with the Whisper lids. A small K+N filter is included for the 2000-'02 models.

That was my fault on the wording for the air tube. I meant i know there is the plug on the 02's but i knew there wasnt one on the 98-99 lids just curious on if it would work getting rid of the plug. Been answered there so thanks.
