OK, so if there is a recall what is it?? I calledChevrolet today and asked whether there are any recalls or campaigns for my 1998 Camaro. They said no.

A lot of people see a TSB and THINK recall. Its a common misconception.

there are two service campaign recalls for the 98 camaro. one is the 98022 improperly machined cylinder heads campaign and the other is 98047 exhaust gas recirculation valve faiures. there is also a special policy campaign 99057 for spark plug wire replacement. last but not least a campaign 99010 high speed driveline vibration causing transmission rear seal failure. only the first two apply to the ls1's, but they are actual recalls, not tsb's. if anyone is in question as to whether they are involved, i can check it also. i need the last 8 numbers in the vin to run it.

If you go here: http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/pr...callsearch.cfm

Just TRY to get it to spit out any type of recall on a 1998 Camaro.

TSBs are not recalls

SI2000, it shows the recalls. arguing with me on this point is mute. i work for the dealer. call and verify if you'd like. i don't need them non gm sites to tell me what is and isn't a bulliten or recall.

that would be a saftey recall, different. if you called your gm dealer and asked, they would have looked up your vehicle and told you whether or not yours had it, not 98 camaro's. why don't you go in there or call them with the recall numbers i listed and just ask them what they are for.
