Talking 99SS vs 02SS READ THIS!

I was down in the keys this past weekend and came across a 02 SS. The kid had t-tops and I was in my vert. We ran twice up to 120 or so. Both times I got him off the line by about a car length. However, he caught me when he shifted into 4th because I have a A4. He started pulling away at about 100 and we let off after that. He also had the slp dual dual exhaust which is supposed to add HP. I have the factory dual system. But the funny thing is I told him to come over and look at how many miles I had...90,000. Yup thats right, a 90,000 mile SS still running with a 02 with 7000 miles. I havnt raced but 2 other ss models and was so happy to know mine still had the same power it had when it left the floor. And oh, but the way, I have no mods or anything, I havnt even changed the factory spark plugs. WOW what a car!!!!!

I was playing with a red pre 02 model.. was a 98+ tho.. and i could reel him in in all of the lower gears.. without any problems.. but at 90+ he was able to hold speed gains with me.. he was modded.. i was not.. bot of us had T-tops off..
