i have a question concerning o2 sensors. i have a set of heddman hedders on my 00 z28, and have eliminated the back two sensors, and am trying to put the front two in, but they stick out too far and are interferring with the fuel lines on the drivers side, and the k frame on the passenger side. my question is this, can i put some sort of adapter in the bung to divert the sensors to a better angle to where they won't be literally on the fuel lines and out of harms way from motor flex, or do they have to be directly in the path of the exhaust flow where the collectors start?
