is an air lid worth the money?

If you have a new car ( I did not see your year) the air lid with a Holley power shot filter works really well. Some like the K+N filter, I don't like the way it fits personally, but everyone has different tastes.
anything you could do to let the engine run at potential is always a +
With the newer cars I think you can see up to 8 to 10 rwhp horsepower gains.
You also did not mention if you did the exhaust yet. If your going to let more air in, the next thing to do is let more air out. ENJOY the Ride...

on virtually any engine, if there is a restrictive air intake, anything you can do to make less of a restriction will benefit you. This holds true of exhaust as well since as an engine is just an air pump.
I know I will be getting one. I am just researching it. I dont jump on band wagons. I just get the one that I feel is the best for me after all of my questions have been answered.
They all show similar gains, but so far I have found that some SLP units dont fit right and that SLP would say "some fit better than others".
That didnt sit well with me.
I like whisper lids so far but I like the carbon fiber look one more than the plain black.

I like the BMR Fabrication air filtration system. The quality, and fit are pretty good. www.bmrfabrication.com
