Post Alternatives to dual/dual muffler

Any suggestions, I'm planning on getting headers eventually so nothing that's too loud, just louder than the dual/dual muffler. Thanks for any help guys.

Cool

If you're planning to get headers, then you might want to wait to see if you like the new sound with the dual/dual. I'm running the dual/dual with FLP's and a cam, and I LOVE it. For many others it's still too quiet, but I like my car quiet. It kills the raspy sound if you want to remove the cats, so that's a nice benefit. Let's not forget that it flows very well, too! I track-tested mine when I still had stock-internals, and not once did I pick up any MPH or produce a quicker ET with the cutout open vs. running through the dual/dual.

If you're wanting something louder that flows well and sounds great, then the Hooker cat-back would be the way to go IMO. It's probably the best-sounding exhaust I've heard on an LS1. We can get you one if you're interested in it. Feel free to give me a call or e-mail me if I can help ya.

Get some Hookers and an ORP from Jet Hot, that will liven up your dual/dual. No need for a new exhaust. If you get one that is louder now, it will get even louder when you do the headers. Another way to look at it is to at least wait until you have the headers on the car before you change the muffler. If you like it, you saved a bunch of dough. If not, then buy your new muffler.
