Ok I am getting ready to order all the parts I will need to put together the new ls1 engine I am building. I plan on ordering all my parts from www.gmpartsdirect.com This is my very first engine build and I want to make sure I am not missing anything. Should I go with another brand of bearings and rings other than GM? Or are the GM bearings and rings just fine?


I know I can reuse the old cover bolts but I have already got replacement covers because I want to complete the engine as much as possible before I pull my old engine. So I have listed all the part numbers I have been able to find in the internet and here on are website so far. So if anyone knows anymore part numbers that would be great.
