Anybody here have BFG G-Force tires on their car? Do you like them? Any better than the stock GSC's?

If I had extendo arms, sure I would use them to steal me some sticky buns. But I would also use them to rescue children stuck in wells!

I tried the BF tires but they suck in Chicago weather, meaning rain every 4-5 days. they slide like hell in the rain, dry traction is sweet better than the Eagle good year when making sick turns, but when it comes down to it, eagles f1's are better for chicago because of the moderate amount of weather patterns it can handle better than the T/A's. If you live in dryer climate then the BF's are the way to go. Otherwise eagle f1's or michelin Pilot Sports are the best....

In another post you said you were going with two sets of tires, for different seasons or purposes but you didn't say why or what for? What do you plan to use this set for? autocrossing, drag racing, tires selection is totally about what you plan on using the tires for. G-force tires are very expensive (too expensive or what you get) and give great dry traction and crappy rain traction, if your looking for the best dry traction you should go with Nitto 555 DRs, and they still grab pretty good in the wet. Explain what you want the tires for

GSCs are a good tire and will be hard to beat. But for all around driving, all weather conditions except snow, the Firestone SZ50s are the best, actually fun to drive in the rain. I've had them on my Vette and f-body, but again they are expensive. Kumho is offering a new ultra performance tire the MX, it just got on tirerack.com and I think they are about $150, this might be a good choice alternative. Tires are all diff and the costs vary greatly, genrally you get what you pay for, so if moneys no object then buy away. Also, I'm not sure where you heard that the Nitto DRs don't last, they last twice as long as the BFG DRs, the Nittos will last about 15000 miles.

kumho tires are a good tire for the street.
get the BFG drag radials instead of the Nitto's if you plan to only use them at the track or go with ET Streets if you have a 16" rim

If you want an everyday tires I suggest you get the BF GForce KDW OR KDWS. The KDW are for Dry and Wet The KDWS are for snow as well. The GFORCE tire lines all have the same sidewalls on every tire. The acronyms on the end determine the tread patterns and material used. I bought the GForce KDWS before last winter and the Dry Traction is a little better than the GSC's, The Wet Traction is 100% better (hardly any hydroplaning), The snow traction is much better as well. Though still not the same as a snow tire I suppose. I will get you where your going if there is less than 4 inches on the road. Just my 2 cents.
