Anyone had Body control module problems ???

My car won't start and the alarm is going crazy so I take it to the dealer today. They call me back a few hours later and they say they need to order my car a new Body Control Module. I guess thats what was making my alarm go crazy ???? What exactly does this Module do and does it have anything to do with the alarm ???? With the Body Control Module installed and a new keyless entry remote b/c I don't have a remote after taxes and labor it came up to $425.00. I got it towed for free atleast. LOL ! Does this problem and cost to fix it sound about right ?????

I am having the same problem, I think. My battery has been draining when the car sits in the cold weather for a week or more. I can't seem to figure out why my factory alarm (the horn), when it engages, it doesn't reset. It keeps going until I set it with the button. When my battery went out the first time this year, the alarm triggered and wouldn't reset. I was told later that the power level was too low and that is why it went off.

I am in the same situ and I am trying to find out the cause of the drain.
