Avarage RWHP with a cam and bolt-ons?

I am curious about what the LS1 can put out at the tires with a good cam and bolt-ons. No head work just maybe some RR and springs. These mods will net a LT1 about 330-340RWHP or so with a tune depending on the cam. How much more are you guys seeing with similar mods?

A guy down here with a'02 M6 T/A ,the car has SLP LT, Lid, Gmaf, ported tb, MAFT, and LS1 hot cam dynoed 387 hp with stock heads.

I know a guy with '02 SS Mac header's OR pipe, cutout, ASP, Yank 3000, Wisper Lid, dynoed 345 hp.

I Haven't dynoed my car since stock w/ 750 miles and it was 299 hp and 314 tq I added the K&N FIPK it went up to 313hp and 324 tq.

Now I have 22,500 miles and mods in sig, I hope to have 370 now, but

Dyno'd my car

My car has a cam, G2 lid, Long tubes with cutout, and hypertech. And I dyno 357.6 hp at 6250 and 346.8 tq at 4560. I retarded my cam to get low end torque.

It obviously depends on which cam you go with but from what I've seen...a basically full bolt-on LS1 with a not too radical cam should put down around 380-390rwhp.

you really need to be more specific about the cam because there is a wide range of cams and they all effect the car differently

I know a guy with the tr224 cam, lid, FLP headers and the borla exhaust. 387 hp to the wheels with a tune. Thats about where you should be with full boltons and a tune.

As others have said 370-380 RWHP is average in an LS1, but there are some guys who have managed to squeak past 400 RWHP with a cam only on stock heads.

As you are seeing the LS1 stock heads are far superior to LT1 heads, so stock heads can produce a lot more HP from just a cam and boltons.

It really depends on the camshaft as to how much power you'll be looking at with stock heads. Our newest 232/228 reverse-split put down 402 RWHP in a 2000 Z28 six-speed with Hooker long tube headers, 3" off-road y-pipe, TSP lid, exhaust cutout, and LS1 intake manifold. It still had the stock crank pulley and throttle body. We are looking for 410+ RWHP with the LS6 intake in place and stock heads!

We installed our 224R camshaft (224/224, .581"/.581", 112 LSA) in a local car and netted 394 RWHP through Jet Hot long tube headers, 3" off-road y-pipe, Flowmaster cat-back, TSP carbon fiber 85mm induction lid, SLP 85mm MAF, LS6 intake manifold, and aFe synthetic air filter. This car also had a stock crank pulley and throttle body.

We finished up a cam swap on a '00 Corvette hardtop on Wednesday. The car had basic bolt-ons, stock exhaust manifolds and cats, and LS1 intake, and he went with our 220R camshaft (220/220, .581"/.581", 114 LSA). The car baselined at 332 RWHP, and it left with 363 RWHP. We're looking for 380-385 RWHP with the stock cylinder heads once he has the TPIS long tube headers and LS6 intake manifold in place.

One important factor that affects the power output is the cylinder head casting. GM switched to a new casting in the late 2000 model-year that flows better than the previous casting. This is part of the reason that the '01 and '02 LS1's run so well.
