Talking b4c police camaro-worth the money?

I was shopping for a police package camaro and I found one with 11,000, civilian miles on a 2000. It has the b4c package and they want $19000 for it. I don't know alot about camaros and wanted to know if this is worth it or not. I work in the police field and am interested in that package. Thanks

from what i understand it is a heavier transaxle, high performance tires, stronger running motor- not much published but I have been told it will outrun any stock corvette. Handleing package is different.this car also has leather and automatic. Help me out.

that sounds pretty bada$$ to me.

"I dunno. A police package, what good would that do for me if I bought the car?"
"Well.... you could out run any stock Corvette."
"I'll take it!"
And the buyer drove happily ever after.

I believe its an gearing upgrade (3.42) and heavier suspension(sway bars, etc). I wouldn't buy a car based on it. Its not some super hi-powered race car, its mostly stock.

This has been posted about many times in the past. The B4C is a Z28 with a heavier set of sway bars, shocks and a larger alternator for all the radio gear. The motor is the very same as the Z28. The rear end is the same (and these cars don't have transaxels, for the record). All they do is strip off all the badging and sometimes take the radio out. Rumor actually has it that the B4C will be slightly slower then the Z28 because of the extra weight in the suspension without an increase in HP. You can find accurate info on these cars on the internet if you do a search.

I read an article in super chevy that said that the only difference was the alternator. people who own b4c's always seem to think their cars are pretty extra special though.

Cool

Hell yah they are special. I love my B4C. Most people are pretty schoked to see what apears to be a v-6 beat there Z. I have the package and I have the 1LE Braking and suspension, but I have AC which 1LE's dont. You could have a choice between a 305 and a 350 when you ordered it. They come with the same ****ty tires as the z's do though. Dude buy the car they are really rare and people allwasy come and talk to me about mine. Just have fun. Later guys

I just talked to an unbiased chevy service manager from a dealership that is unrelated to the car in question. He told me the b4c is the fastest production camaro ever made -hands down, no question - the only one ever faster he said was the yenko and that wasn't a production car. Supposedly the motors are different-tweaked corvette motor. I'm still learning--
