My bad. I should have deleted the top paragraph in the quote.

please slow down or sell it so my insurance doesn't get any higher..... damn i hate kids in fast cars that can't keep in control (and yes i am only 16).
You pretty much contradict youself in this one.

It will always be a fact that teenagers aged 16-18 will have the highest insurance rates.

No offense, but don't blame your high insurance rates on his driving.

the insurance company also looks at speeding tickets and not just wrecks. i haven't been in a wreck and i got one speeding ticket for 5mph over so i think i'm doing okay... am i not? if more kids would drive like that the insurance wouldn't be so high and maybe it takes one kid at a time to learn it

Yeah that's true

Insurance companies are very funny.

Allstate has the Good Grades discount. Get a 3.0 GPA or better, save some on your premium.

AAA has a program where when you turn 18, and have no accidents or tickets, you save 20% on the premium. But their rates are very high.

I don't think they would give a damn though if you just got one speeding ticket, especially 5mph over.

If I got a speeding ticket doing 5 over, I'd frame it on a wall. But that's just me

On a lighter note, I have 17600 miles on my car, and I have rotor problems as well. StylesZ28, save yourself the time, and just buy a pair of autozone rotors. I hear they are more durable than the stock GM rotors. If you just take it to the dealer for the rotors, they will just give you another rotor that will warp. Granted I don't drive like an anus, but I have had to use my brakes consistently thanks to the "synchronized traffic lights."

i'm a blonde 16 yr old, had the t-tops off, and jumped on the light so i guess he had to get me somehow lol. i took a lighter to that ticket the night i got outta court. the judge kinda smiled and gave me 30 day court supervison and made me pay 100 so idk, it wasn't to bad

BTW- the brake's on these cars do suck and thats why i didn't say a word about em...... they feel like the fox body brakes and thats saying something since those aren't to good.

I've been autocrossing on my 29,000 original brakes and rear end for over a year now. And I have been laying the smack down too. My rotors aren't warped. My rearend aint busted. But when it does, I'll bite the bullet. If you treat a street car like a race car even one time it can break. Simple as that. Power shifting "every now and then" is still abuse. An Acura can get away with it cause it has no torque. Wanna beat the heck out of a car? A Honda product is a fabulous choice. No torque to bust the tranny and gears. Slowing down quickly from high speeds is stupid. If you're running over 75 and have to stop so fast that you melt the rotors... You shouldn't have been doing over 75. Yeah, I'm 32. Not 16. That's where respect for a car comes in. Washing it and keeping it clean isn't gonna make it any more reliable. That's just vanity. If you think the dealer is doing a crappy job with the repairs why take it back. Do you only have 1 dealership where you live. We have about 6 here.

Oh and the Nova... ? I'm pretty sure if you've got the hp under the hood to run low 11's the tranny... 1) isn't a T56 ... 2) isn't a stock original tranny.

Tranny is super T10 4 speed with a 12 bolt rear with 4.56 gears with currie axles and richmond gears i believe. Def not stock but i have never had a problem. I was told the T56 was strong but the rear is weak. Next, The dealer is known for ****ty work, BUT IT IS the only dealer really around PLUS we have been buying our caddys there for years. My dad kinda knows a few of the guys 2 get things done. Thats why its always sent there whether it is done right or wrong. Its not really my choice. Rotors i do blame on myself and this thread wasn't really about the rotors, more about why my tranny locks up in 1st and reverse. I got a new thread that i could use everyones knowledge on. OK, i am off to order some cavalier suspension shiet. lata.

Lots of people that are registered on this message board down own a camaro or a firebird.

And he's right the T-56 is a very good transmission.

And who cares about your "perfect record." That just means you were lucky enough not to have gotten caught by the police.

Well although his driving habits and attitude may not be to everyones liking, I will say owning 6 F-Bodies during the past 8 years the rears are garbage. Lets see my first a 94 TA was the only one that lasted. My 98 has gone through 2 rears one on the street before I ever raced it and the other at the strip. My 99 WS6 is also on its second one that I know of I bought it used. Not to mention the 95 Z I had went through 3. Now I am 34 years old and I do know how to take care of a car and it has happened to me also. And yes lets not forget the allmighty T56 well lets start by saying out of the 6 two were M6 cars and both trannies did not last over a year before work had to be performed. Neither ever went to the track not one single time. Maybe just maybe part of the problem the F-Body is gone now is because of some of the crappy parts they came with from the factory. If GM is going to build a 300 HP vehicle motor and put it in a car they should make sure the other parts will handle the power. AQll in all I would not take anything for my F-Body cars but believe me they are A FAR CRY from PERFECT...........

I know it is a good transmission plz reread my post above. Lucky? or maybe i just don't break the speed limit when i am driving? Oh wait u can tell i don't do that cuz i occassionally powershift... ur so smart.

"WOW!!!!!!!!! i don't have an 00 M6 ws6 but i was trying to sell it a few months ago (so now ur calling me a liar)!?! how much are u willing to put on the line daddy's boy? i was talking to someone about this and now i have to ask, honestly who pays for your cars? i'm apart of this message board because i like making the car faster, getting help, and giving some assistance as well. i have no knowledge of the t56? i don't have knowledge of the LS1? hmmmmmmm, damn boy u sure got me there

i pay monthly car payments hence i work everyday from 9-6:30. My parents pay insurance. which is 3 grand a year. I like how u said:
" have no knowledge of the t56? i don't have knowledge of the LS1? hmmmmmmm, damn boy u sure got me there "

That just says u know nothing cuz u haven't proved anything to me that u do. WHY I ORIGINALLY POSTED THIS THREAD CUZ I WAS TRYING TO FIND OUT WHAT WAS WRONG WITH MY TRANSMISSION AND WHY IT IS LOCKING UP. MEANING I WANNA KNOW WHATS WRONG WITH THE TRANSMISSION NOT MY DRIVING HABITS. Whether my driving habits caused the problem is not what i am lookin for. I am inturn trying to find what is wrong with the tranny. I think i just repeated myself 10 times in that last phrase but maybe someone will read it this time. Someone tell me whats wrong with the tranny and why its locking. IF u don't know or have nothing to contribute to this thread don't post. its that simple. 91tsi obviously has no clue what is wrong with it so why is he posting? Spec do u know? 91 tsi u said u are trying to give assistance... where is that? up ur a$$? give me some and tell me whats wrong. THANKS.

You broke it. You can't fix it. Take it to the dealership. It has gear chunks jamming up the other gears. Tranny or rear? who knows? It's busted.

Good enough?
