Best LS1 cam?
I wondering what are some opinions (based on ETAs or personal preference) on the best cam. every one has herd of thunder racing cams and LG's G5 but what is the king of all the cams that will give all out performance without makeing it too unstreetable. Im looking for a cam that can make all others to it. Thanks for the help.

For a cam-only car (no N20, or other FI) then the king would probably be a big reverse-split duration cam, similar to the ones for sale from TR. Like the 230/224. With the 111LSA though, you'd need an M6 for sure. Basically, any cam with higher than a 220 duration and a lift of around .581 will give you big gains. The driveability aspect comes from the LSA (as far as idle), but also from the duration (too much duration means the major power gains will be at high RPM, very 2.73gear unfriendly)

My "little" Hammer cam is VERY streetable and helped me run 10.8's. 222/222 .566/.566 112 l/s
It;s big brother the C2 is just a tad bigger and even idle smoother. It was the cam I used to run 10.66 N/A in a 346.
There is a LOT of cam info on my web page. Check it out and it may help you make a decision.

Autos only come with 2.73 and 3.23 gear ratios. Unless you had those "3.42s" installed seperately, you might want to recheck.

The 3.42 from 2.73's was a GREAT mod. With a stock converter it dropped me three tenths.

He probably installed them later as I did when I had 2.73's...then 3.42's. Then again....maybe not?

I was wondering why you chose 3.42's over 3.73's? Did some research you did tell you to go that route or was it based on what was available at the time?
