Best Replacment Shocks?

Best Replacment Shocks?
My '99 Z28 has just over 62K on it and the shocks are loosing their dampening power. At what mileage have others changed their stock shocks? What are the best aftermarket shocks to consider or should I just replace them with original GM parts?

I haven't used them on the Formula *yet* but I have had good luck with KYB's on other cars.
