Unhappy broken crossmember

hey guys can you help me out? I have a 2000 SS which I bought used about a year ago. Today while driving into a gas station parking lot I heard a loud bang under my car. I looked under and saw a black crossmember hanging from the middle of my car. I ran over the lid of the huge underground gas tank which protruds above the ground. (The crossmember usually hangs low) The 4 bolts holding the crossmember were broken off and the broken ends are still in the threaded portion of the holes. The center of the crossmember is attached to one end of a Spohn adjustable torque arm. So if I remove the crossmember, the arm will fall on the ground. The gas station may pay for it. My question is, is this a big job to fix, about how much would it cost if I had a shop do it? could i do it myself?

any opinions would be appreciated!

thanks, jeff in honolulu.

Take it to a shop and make the gas station pay for it. You may need a new crossmember from Spohn

Guys, go back and read the post.
He said "The center of the crossmember is attached to one end of a Spohn adjustable torque arm."
That would NOT be the stock G-load brace.

R-E-A-D first then respond.

Yes, I was confused, (I'm learning here as well) that's why I asked a question. I made no statement and I proferred no advice. I was looking for clarification. Maybe you should R-E-A-D first as well.

I did READ first so when he said that the torque arm was hooked to it that it couldn't possibly, no way in he!!, be the tunnel brace.
So if YOU had READ it then YOU wouldn't have asked that question.
