California Smog?
I want to purchase another camaro from my uncle, but it was purchased arizona. Would there be a problem getting it smogged in california? I have heard from people saying since California is so strict on their smog that cars from other states wont smog in california. 1998 Camaro Z, 30,000 miles.
Forgive me for not knowing, but when it comes to cars, i just know how to drive them.

Here is what's required to register an out of state vehicle in California:

Weren't the 98 Camaros 50-State legal? If so and the smog system hasn't been altered, you shouldn't problems if it passes.

Man thanks for that. I spent a little time on the dmv website. Im using google to try to find the answer to the 50 state legal issue. I don't see anything regarding this. But i really hope you are correct.
If anyone knows anything more regarding this. I would appreicate any help. I know you car guys know a lot about stuff like this.
Thank you.

Re: California Smog?
It should be no big deal as long as nothing is disconnected or modified to make it fail a smog test.
I purchased a Chevy Silverado from Texas not too long ago and it was not that bad at the dmv. They made me smog it, even though it was a 2004.
