Are you wanting to change out just the elements or the entire assembly? I just changed out the elements in my TA yesterday. One element was burned out (in less than a year!), but the other was still lit (using term loosly since the OEM element is basically useless). The element # is GE 880L.
I went to a local parts store and for like $9 each I got some "super whites" I put in the new element in one side and left the OEM in the other side and could see that the super white is about 50% brighter than OEM. After changing out the other side I now have a little more light down there.
I'm assuming the assembly is basically the same in the TA and the Z. I needed to use a little graphite lube on the plastic part of the element where it contacts the assembly. You'll see what I'm talking about. Use graphite lube - it's dry and won't overheat and cause more problems - and be careful not to get any lube on the bulb itself.

Maybe it's easy to change the bulb in a Z but it's a pain in the buttocks on the TA. The only way I could do it is to come from the top with the headlites in the up position. Even then I have bruises & scrapes from elbow to fingertips. I'm a pretty big guy which is not a good thing when working under the hood of a modern automobile.
But anyway, horseplay Nate has a Z so his may be a lot easier. Nate, just pull the old element (bulb) out and bring it down to your local parts house, and they should be able to fix you up.

If you want to change the bulb for more light on a 98 up Camaro, don't bother. I have 100w bulbs in mine and they put out no more light than stock. IMO it is due to an inferior housing/reflector design.
The T/As have a better design housing shape and react favorably to brighter bulbs, except they melt...
IMO aftermarket housings are called for on the Camaro for better lighting. This is my plan later on, it's not top of my mod list.
Good luck

I agree with ratio411, adding more wattage probably won't give much more light
the Blazer brand OEM lamps are just a poor design (and cheap)
I added PIAA 1100s and love them
they bolt onto the OEM brackets and come with their own harness that is easy to hook up so the stock fog light switch works like normal

I think Ill just stick with the stockers for now.....I had PIAA1000s as headlights on my 93 and loved them...very bright!! I can imagine as fogs theyd be awesome.
The part # at Walmart for elements is 887.....that doesnt look right to me...do these bulbs look kinda like normal headlight bublbs or look more like an element?
